Delivery FAQ

How much does UK delivery cost?
Most products on our site come with FREE UK Delivery! Upshift provides its valued prompt dispatch on all in stock goods. Delivery is reliable, tracked and fast so your item arrives quickly, using trusted couriers like DPD and Parcelforce, with whom we have a record of success. Specific smaller goods will attract small delivery fees, but if ordered as part of a larger order, delivery is free. Individual product pages indicate delivery fees.

 

How do I get delivery updates?
We recommend you provide your mobile number at checkout, so we may share it with the delivery companies in accordance with our terms and conditions. By doing so, the delivery company is able to text you delivery updates, and the delivery drivers may choose to ring you prior to delivery/if they need to call you about your delivery. Where applicable, you will also get email updates. Not all couriers offer these services, so if you are unsure, please contact us in advance to confirm. For international orders, please provide the dialling code (e.g. +1 for USA...)

 

How much does International delivery cost?
We subsidise delivery charges to all countries, worldwide. All international buyers should email us (deliveries@upshiftstore.co.uk) for a personalised delivery quote, which excluding (where applicable) any import/customs charges. We are based in the UK, and so all European Union (EU) customers will now be classed as international customers, with the UK exiting the EU.

 

Which locations are excluded from FREE UK Delivery?
The following UK locations are normally excluded from our Free UK delivery: Isle of Man, Scottish Islands, Northern Ireland, Shetland Islands, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Scottish Highlands, Scilly Isles. Dependent on your order value, we may waive any delivery surcharges with our complements. If you live in any of these locations, please contact us for a delivery quote (in most cases, it is likely that only a small surcharge will apply). Buyers that select our Free UK delivery service and refuse to pay any compulsory surcharges will be refused their order and refunded.

 

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland?
Yes, we do deliver to Northern Ireland. Up until 31st March 2021, sending to Northern Ireland is unchanged. From 1st April 2021 onwards, the government will announce new trading regulations. Nonetheless, since Brexit, Northern Ireland remains part of the United Kingdom, therefore we charge you 20% VAT on all orders, as we did prior to Brexit. However, sending goods from Mainland UK (where we store our goods) into Northern Ireland, is now classed as an export, so customs clearance documents are required, and import duties may be owed. Unless explicitly confirmed otherwise, all orders are dispatched DDU (delivered duties unpaid).

This may all sound rather daunting - the summary is that you will still get a normal tracked express delivery by the usual couriers we use (DPD/Parcelforce/DHL), just that depending on which product(s) you buy, you may be required to pay a few percent in duties, or indeed no duties whatsoever. If you're a customer in Northern Ireland who is unsure who is reading this, please contact us for more information.

 

Help! During checkout, I get this message:
If you see this at your Shipping Method section of checkout, it means we will prepare you a custom delivery quote, so please email deliveries@upshiftstore.co.uk and we will give you the quote.

 

Will I need to be in to sign for my order?
Due to the high-value of the items we sell, most delivery services that we use will require a signature to confirm successful delivery. Tracking is sent prior to delivery, so you know when the packages are being delivered, and can make arrangements to stay in. If you cannot stay in that day, our couriers offer a variety of delivery arrangements for maximum convenience, including rescheduling to another day, fixed-time delivery, redelivery to alternative addresses etc. We can accommodate all delivery conditions, so you need not worry about not being in to accept a delivery. 

 

How do I track my order?
All orders are sent using a trackable delivery service. You will be provided with a tracking number prior to the delivery, which you will be able to use to monitor progress of your delivery. We typically use DPD and Parcelforce for deliveries, with other couriers available on request.

 

I require a different delivery method to what you have available (e.g. Saturday Delivery / Sunday Delivery etc) - can you help?
Yes! If you require a different shipping method to what we have available as standard, please send an email to deliveries@upshiftstore.co.uk explaining your requirements and we shall endeavour to find you a courier and quote.

 

What is your Subsidised International Delivery?
Wherever you are in the world, we value you as a customer, and would love you to buy from us. Therefore, whatever country you're in, we subsidise your delivery so the cost is lower, paying part, or all, of the delivery cost, to encourage you to buy from us. 

 

 

General FAQ

How do I edit my order?
You may edit your order anytime up until it dispatches. And when we say edit, we mean add / remove / amend any product(s) in your order.

To edit your order, please email sales@upshiftstore.co.uk, with the email subject of being your 7-digit Order Number. Once validated, we shall amend your order on our system, and then you will be automatically sent an order edited emil along with either an invoice for any outstanding monies, or reimbursed any outstanding amount (where applicable)

 

Is it possible to collect my order?
Yes, orders can be collected from our shopfront, but all collections must be arranged in advance - to do so, please Contact Us 

  

I am buying for my business, can you issue a full VAT invoice?
Yes, we absolutely can. Place your order as normal, providing the appropriate billing & delivery address, and we will send you a full sales receipt and VAT invoice, to reclaim the purchase through your business. For VAT-registered businesses, you may reclaim the VAT if it is deemed reclaimable by HMRC.

 

Do you accept POs?
Yes, we accept Purchase Orders. Please email us in advance to discuss details.

 

Can I try your products before I buy?
Ordinarily, yes, we can invite you to our shopfront to demo the goods. Currently, with COVID-19, this is not available. Further information about the shopfront will appear when the pandemic eases.

 

I am very interested in sim racing, but I am:
i) not confident with technology so am unsure how to connect everything;
ii) not confident with building the rig;
iii) do not have enough time to set up everything;
iv) do not want to set up everything and would rather it is all done for me
...can you provide an installation service?
Yes, we can. Firstly, we would like to point out that although sim racing setups may appear daunting to beginners, they isn't that complicated. Most customers find they are able to set up their hardware, and build their rigs within a few hours. Some people enjoy this aspect of purchasing the products (some, not so much!).

We appreciate however that there are people who are lacking in confidence -  whether it be technological proficiency, or in building a sim rig, or both - and indeed some who simply do not have enough time in a day to spend hours setting up all the equipment. We are therefore able to offer a full installation service on all our products. This is at an additional cost, and depends on geographic location. We will service all mainland areas of England, Scotland and Wales.

There are internet tutorials, community groups & forums and user guides with setup information, so we would like to clarify that most individuals will be able to setup their sim equipment - it's not a fusion reactor after all!
